Taking Up Space

Taking Up Space calls attention to the ways in which marginalized communities are often pressured to shrink themselves physically, emotionally, or socially n order to fit into structures not designed for their flourishing. In this work "showing up" becomes a form of resistance and reclamation: a refusal to disappear, a demand to be felt, and an affirmation that existing fully, unapologetically, and expansively is bold, brave and absolutely necessary.
